Festival Varadero Gourmet has become a propitious space to position Cuba as a quality destination in gastronomic service, asserted Cuban Minister of Tourism, Manuel Marrero Cruz, in opening of the 10th Varadero Gourmet Festival.
He also highlighted how advanced in cuisine, cocktails and enology Cuban has become and said how much more can be achieved to reach a greater satisfaction of clients.
Marrero also referred to the reevaluation and authoctonous in Cuban restauration and bars in all its universe, being the essential target of the five specialty contests which are included in this event which will session until next Friday at the Convention Center Plaza America of that beach resort in the western province of Matanzas.
The ceremony of inauguration was also presided by Jorge L. Acosta, President of the extrahotel group Palmares, Abelardo Fernandez, President of Cubasol and Ivis Fernandez, delegate of the Tourism Ministry in the province of Matanzas.
Attending this tenth edition are 53 exhibitors of 21 countries who during the four days of the event will participate in a wide program of product presentations, exhibitions and contests.
The venue will also dedícate much space to the presentation of the program to commemorate the 80th anniversary of famous cabaret Tropicana in the Cuban capital.
The Tenth Festival is sponsored by the Extra-hotel Enterprise Palmares, the Business Group Cubasol and the Ministry of Tourism.
