Cuban Prime Minister Inaugurates International Tourism Fair

The Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, inaugurated this Monday the 41st International Tourism Fair (FITCUBA) 2023 in the Morro Cabaña Military Historical Park in the presence of tour operators and travel agents,  professionals of the sector from numerous countries.

When speaking at the opening, Marrero Cruz referred to the potential and possibilities of tourism in this destination, facing foreign markets, while expressing the confidence of many tour operators, travel agents, airline representatives, executives of the sector of that industry in the largest of the Antilles.

Later he referred to the benefits, beauties, nature, culture, traditions and heritage of the country, which together with its safety are the essence of this sector. He considered with optimism the work that is being carried out in the country and the measures adopted for the recovery of tourism, despite the difficult moments that Cuba is facing due to the consequences left by the pandemic and, in particular, due to the restrictions imposed by the blockade of United States against the island.

At the inauguration of the fair, which will take place until next Friday, the sector minister Juan Carlos García Granda and the president of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power, Reynaldo García Zapata, also took the floor, welcoming the participants.

During the morning session today, the presentations of different products will begin, among them - "Havana: Culture and Heritage", as well as the Portfolio of Business Tourism and Foreign Investment Opportunities.
