An analysis from sciences on the current actions on animal care becomes the main objective of the 4th International Seminar on Agricultural Health (SISA 2023) held at the Plaza America Convention Center in Varadero.

Inaugurated on Monday with a master lecture by Dr. Raiza Llauger, representative of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), SISA 2023 will have presentations both in person and online from Tuesday until Friday.

Yuvan Contino, a delegate from the Indio Hatuey Experimental Station of Pastures and Forages (EEPF-IH), attached to the University of Matanzas (UM), told Prensa Latina that 421 scientific contributions from 24 countries are part of the program of the event.

During the Seminar and as an exhibition associated to the meeting, the National Center for the Production of Laboratory Animals will sell, among other vaccines, one that is associated to canine parvovirus, in addition to the presentation of Adizoot, an additive product for swine feed that is supplied in food and water, he said.

Contino added that under the slogan “Science and Innovation for One Health,” the event seeks to develop synergies and strategic alliances in addition to the presentation of products that will be shown both in the innovation session and in the Business Forum, activities that were included in the official program.

The professor and researcher of the EEPF-IH said that from the One Health perspective, SISA will present alternatives to mitigate and develop resilience to the complex challenges that threaten the health of the ecosystem, plants, animals and people in a cross-cutting manner.
